Phishing - Fake Home Warranty Scam
Received a card in the mail about a warranty replacement notice for mechanical systems at my dwelling and requesting that I call 1-888-413-5452 for uninterrupted protection. Notice included a registration ID number and a PIN number. Had no company name and was “supposedly” from the Home Warranty Division/County Deed Records. I did not call the number but instead looked it up and found that the phone number was associated with a scam.

Double sided post card received; one side appeared to be from a Home Warranty Division, the other side appeared to be from County Deed Records. Registration was required for continued protection, mechanical systems, inside/outside coverage, continual usage limit, home inspection waived. There was a Registration ID and a PIN on the card (both sides the same). WARRANTY REPLACEMENT was printed on one side. It was mailed with Postal Permit No. 1999, First Class Mail, Presorted, U.S. Postage Paid St. Louis, Mo. We did not call to get more information and we have no idea what this is for. I mark this a SCAM that is targeted at elderly homeowners because we live in a 55+ community.

Postcard to Replace Warranty
same here ... I received a postcard alerting me to the need to replace my warranty. "COUNTY DEED RECORDS" with an 'expiration date' and 'registration required for Continued coverage'....ALL FALSE. I DO NOT HAVE A WARRANTY WITH THIS COMPANY. When I called the number on the postcard (attached) I was hung up on once... Then I got ma'amed (my favorite) ....Evading questions like "what is the name of your company?" and "where are you located" and finally the person said "God Bless You". PLEASE STOP THIS COMPANY FROM MISLEADING PEOPLE !!

Received this threatening letter in the mail that our Home Warranty was about to expire from the Home Warranty Dept of an unnamed business. The only identifying information on the letter was my name, address, a 5 day time limit to respond, and a fake check voucher for $199, and the scammer's phone number 1-888-413-5452. I did not respond, call or anything, this was obviously a scam. Image of the scam letter available upon request.

Received a postcard in the mail "COUNTY DEED RECORDS" stating that the Warranty Replacement for Mechanical Systems in our home was expiring on 3/15/2024. We don't have any home warranty. There was no company listed, no address, no website, nothing but a phone # to call and a registration ID # to reference. The card was bulk mailed from St. Louis, permit #1999. This is a scam to take money by convincing some poor, unsuspecting person into believing they have a warranty on their home that they need to renew.

Worthless Problem-solving Service

Home Warranty Scam
A final notice letter warning me about the possible expiration of a home warranty i do not have. I could be "at risk of being financially liable for any and all repairs." A fake check for $199.00 attached, with "colored pantograph and microprinting." Threatened to revoke my eligibility after 5 days. Trying to frighten someone into paying for a home warranty. No address, just the phone number, to call immediately.

This is the letter I received from my postal mail. And I suspect it as a fake. This person or company has been trying to take advantage of a 76 year old senior citizen and trying to scam her. These people need to be caught and handled by the law.
