I made the mistake of calling the phone number listed on the letter which offered 2 travel vouchers, 2 night stay at any state in continental USA and also a $100. food voucher. I did speak to a representative after a long wait and gave them my husbands phone number and made an appointment for the next day (which we are not attending). Now this scammer has both of our phone numbers which they could sell that info to. The rep also wanted the number that was on the letter,

I received a mailer like most people are describing, with Rich Allen as the POC, with the phone number I entered. I also received a 'claim' number. all of the information previously on your page for this scam is the same as mine - attend the travel exhibit and in exchange for attending, will receive vouchers for 2 airline tickets plus 2 nights stay plus a bonus if first of 50 callers - dining gift card. Claims the hotel value alone is $980. I did not call. I started googling and didn't get much until I added Rich Allen's name to the search. Then popped up the BBB with this very same scam I received. no return address. US Postage Paid permit # 850 mailed from zip code 32114 if that helps narrow where this scammer is. This should be disseminated across the country via news outlets. Merely posting on social media won't do it...People believe anything nowadays.

just received the mailer, thought I would look up the name Travel Exhibit 2024 online. Found this site from the BBB. It's interesting because " Rich Allen" lists Southwest Airlies, United Air and Frontier Along with Hilton hotel chain. If I am one of those companies, I would have the law putting great effort into finding the scammers. Their reputations are at stake.

I received a letter. Looked up the company with BBB, and understood this was a scam. If you call their toll-free number they say it is about a travel exhibit but it's really a timeshare sales. You have to sit through a presentation and they tell you that they don't have a location because they "travel all over" doing their presentation.

I received a mailing from Rich Allen, travel Exhibit 2024. That stated I was invited to attend the travel exhibit. It stated for my attendance, I would receive two complementary round-trip airline vouchers and two nights at either Marriott Hilton or Hyatt hotel. It said the voucher quantities were limited and our first come first serve if they didn’t hear from me in two days the voucher would be awarded to an alternate guest, also stated the correspondence was my final notice. There was a bonus that the first $50 would also receive $100 in dining savings card at restaurants like TGI Fridays, Black and steakhouse, bar, Louie, and Moore. Said for me to call 1-855-549-0722, and my claim number is awards number 206-9517. Said I can call between Monday and Friday between 10 and seven central standard time Saturday central.

The scammer sends a letter that offers airfare and hotel for two nights in exchange for attending Travel Exhibit 2024. When you call they want to sign you up for an event where you can pick up your vouchers. The letter includes a number that is used to claim your award -- presumably that number is tied to your name and mailing address. They also ask for your city and a phone number they can text. I declined the number and they said they would e-mail, but did not ask for an email address -- don't know if that was a mistake or if it means they already have an e-mail address.

Final notice have 2 days to reply etc. name on letter is Rich Allen. Other than calling the number, the letter doesn’t require any action. Does not explain where/when the travel exhibit will take place. Letter looks legit but does not include web site or any other specific info. Looks like a classics phishing scheme. Wish I knew how they got my address.

Received mail that offered free hotel stays, free meals, etc. Did not explain what we had to do. Call the number because "offer will expire" in 48 hours. Call to number was unanswered. Scammer appeared to be registered with travel and leisure show in Atlanta, but no further information was given. Used Embassy Suites logo and mentioned all major airlines but Delta.

Rich Allen Travel Exhibit Mailer Phishing and Travel Scam
Received a US Mail solicitation to receive (2) complimentary tickets to attend Travel Exhibit 2023. No location for this event was given, but for attending we would ". . .receive (2) complimentary round-trip airline vouchers. These vouchers are valid within the continental United States departing from most major international airports." In addition we would "receive (2) nights at one of over 1000 Marriott's, Hilton's or Hyatt's. (Option to extend) The retail value is up to $980." Very similar wording to the scam that the other person sent. The flyer went on to say that the first 50 callers would also receive a $100 dining savings card good a several listed restaurant chains and provided a phone number (855-549-0722) to call with a claim number Awards 842437. Flyer/Letter was signed Rich Allen Travel Exhibit 2023. I didn't bother to call the number so don't know what might have come of it, but I was taught the things that appear to be too good to be true usually are not. Considering that no location, dates or times for this Travel Exhibit 2023 were given I had to believe it is/was a scam.
