A family member received a call from a private number stating it was in regard to a civil lawsuit. My family member not understanding what was happening asked questions and was directed to call 1- 855-512-0999 and give a regrance # they provided. My family member then called this number seeking knowledge. When she called that number.. the person whom answered asked for the ref. # Then proceeded to tell her her last 4 digits of socal security card and birthdate in which my family member confirmed. Thr so called represntaive told her she was being sued for over $10,000. then proceeded to tell her during her confussion trying to figure out what was going o that he knew my family members credit was good and proceeded to try to get my family member to use her debit card to send $7222. to settle a lawsuit in which my family member had never received any written notice nor summons. In the heat of the momment once the representive who did not disclose his name threatened and stated if my family member didnt pay it that particular vehicles woud be seized immediately and said " let the judge handle it..see you in court." After this...i called the number due to my family member being upset and confussed to confirm this was a legitimate buisness. When i called the # the receiver did not dislose the buisness name. I asked "whom am i calling?" He said Gilmore and Assoc. I asked who is Gilmore and Assoc? He said a law firm. I asked him for his name, buisness location and position to verify whom i was speaking too. He refused to disclose any information saying over and over "why does that matter" then proceeded to to disclose my name and address very disturbingly in which i denied and hung up.
