I called the Amazon Customer Service number 1(888)729-2187 as well as 1(800)935-9935, thinking I was talking to an Amazon Customer Service Rep, who told me to download the app quick support dowload viewer, which I had trouble dowloading due to space on my phone, so I had to call back, the second person told me the same , but to try the app, anydesk support desk. Then said to read him the numbers , then got into my Amazon profile, removing old expired credit , cards, I then said no, as I saw an xbox for 100 clicked on, I immediately called to report my card stolen.

To Whom It May Concern: I just found out that "scalping" in Minnesota is legal. I have been scalped. On May 23, 2022 I ordered two Guthrie Theater tickets for $207.01--thinking I was dealing with the Guthrie Theater ticket office. I would find out I was not! The actual cost of the two tickets, if ordered thru the Guthrie ticket website, would have been $86 plus a $10 service fee (total $96). Ticketsales.com charged me $207.01. I called them to protest. I found out, thru the real Guthrie ticket office, that someone whose name is "Corey Stein", purchased the tickets for $43 a piece. Ticketsales.com informed me they paid $70 a piece for these two tickets. Ticketsales.com then charged me: $140 (tickets) + $6.95 delivery fee + $19.46 tax + $40.60 service charge. When I realized that 56% of what I paid was NOT going to the Guthrie Theater and I protested this extreme mark-up on the ticket price. I was informed by the ticketsales.com employee that when I "clicked" to pay $207.10, I agreed to pay that amount. Ticketsales.com informed me that they have no affiliation with the Guthrie Theater and would not change what I paid. In my conversation with the Guthrie Theater ticket office, they informed me that they are having problems with this kind of transaction and their computer website people are trying to remedy the problem, but have not been successful. I am attaching a screen shot of what comes up on the internet when I enter "Guthrie Theater". The title of the webpage sucked me in, thinking I was working directly with the Guthrie Theater ticket office. I thought in this transaction I was contributing $207 to the well-being of the Guthrie Theater. I was NOT. I have been scalped and the business reputation of the Guthrie Theater has been scalped too! Ticketsales.com are participating in a business practice that is fraudulent and is illegal in many states and should be illegal in ALL states.

Online Purchase
This supposed event/concert ticket resale company appears at the top of Google search results for chosen venues/events. Their ticket purchasing website makes the event look like it is very close to selling out - which establishes a sense of urgency for the ticket buyer to quickly buy their tickets (something we've all encountered before for popular shows). All during the purchase process, their website displays "pop-up" screens alerting that the show is selling out. Hurry. The advertised ticket prices are high - but the service charges per ticket are ridiculously high. Something you find out at the end of your purchase. After I contacted the actual concert venue, I learned that the concert tickets hadn't even gone on sale yet - which means that ticketsales.com falsely claimed that the show was quickly selling out - as tickets weren't even being offered yet. What's worse - the actual concert venue has plenty of tickets available and they are 1/3 the price of what I paid at ticketsales.com I am not naive to the process of buying concert tickets online. I have been doing it for years. I am used to the process of being directed from actual venue sites to third party ticket sites for the purchase of tickets - and I initially believed that was what was happening here. I tried calling ticketsales.com customer service line - and when I was finally able to reach a representative - she simply read from a script saying "no refunds." Reviewing all the similar negative reviews on Trust Pilot - I am shocked that ticketsales.com hasn't been taken down yet - and that they are able to continue ripping people off. Beware!
