Fake Radio Station
Our small business received a phone call from someone claiming to be with a radio station. They said they wanted to advertise our business 3 times during the day and that it would be $***. I told them I wanted to talk to my wife about it and they said they wanted to record me saying yes to the radio advertisement. I told them again that I wanted to talk to my wife and then asked for the address of the radio station. I told them I'd like to drive over there to make sure this is legit. They would not give me the address and a guy in the background was cursing. They sounded unprofessional and it did not seem like it was real. The next thing we know, we are getting phone calls stating we owe them money for radio advertisements. We never were given any information about this radio station until we received collection letters. I looked up the radio station and tried to call both phone number listed and couldn't get anyone to answer. I'm not sure if the radio station is really connected with this company. We received a "Final Notice" from this company threatening legal action if we didn't pay them. Right before that, someone who said they were an attorney contacted us and said they are willing to reduce the price if we paid them now. We never agreed to any radio advertising.
