Virtual Vehicle Vendor Scam - Boats - Craigslist
The victim responded to a Craigslist listing for a boat and, after sending an inquiry, was directed to Moonway Motors' website to register as a buyer at [Moonway Motors Inventory](https://www.moonwaymotors.com/view/inventory/?id=43babb11d6514063aaf96ba24a4aebaf&loc=TWVhZCwgV0E=). Moonway Motors claims to be a third-party consignment company, offering a 14-day free return guarantee. Subsequently, the victim received an invoice for payment. Initially finding many positive reviews online for Moonway Motors, further investigation revealed it was a scam.

Online Purchase
I thought I was buying boots from Nordstrom. This website advertises ratings from Nordstron spelled with an "N" and not an "M". It states, "Women water proof boots Nordston reviews trending winter leather boots 2021." Very clever that they make the name look like a reputable store. I ordered the product on December 25. On January 22 I received an email stating the purchase was delivered. It was not. I called their phone number of 833-933-1816. This number never connects. You get a busy signal. Also, I started searching online and have found other comments from people experiencing the same issue with this company. I have sent an email to their customer service department and am waiting for a reply. I also contacted my credit card company today to dispute the charge.

Online Purchase
Shoes for sale on Facebook. Went to site off Facebook and still looked legit. Ordered shoes that have been in processing for 2 months. Now they say I can't cancel the order. Oh and when I complaint they reported a partial refund that was never given to me.
