I was looking for a loan in order to deal with some financial issues, and was contacted by "Austin White" from Big Lenders. He said that I would be able to secure a $3000 loan and make payments of $100 a month. Since I was in a pretty desperate situation, I took the offer. However, "Austin" told me in order to secure the loan, I had to go to Walmart and enter money on a barcode he provided. When that stopped working, he told me I had to purchase giftcards. When I told him the whole thing was a BS scam, he yelled at me, threatened to charge $20000 to my bank account, and was generally verbally abusive. Since I figured it was a regular loan company, I provided them with my account information, which he then used to reverse several transactions (something I still don't quite understand). So, I have since changed my banking information, talked to their claims department, filed a claim with the FTC, and now I am reaching out to you. I feel like an absolute idiot for believing that guys, since the offer did seem too good to be true. But, like I said, I was in a tight spot. Hopefully, that fraudulent company can be dealt with.

Amazon Imposter
My 13-year-old son attempted to purchase something from amazon using his grandmother's debit card and received an error message that his amazon account had been locked. The Amazon web page stated that he would have to go through a process to unlock the account. My 13-year-old son googles amazon customer service telephone number and found what he thought was amazon customer service, which was 1-805-534-5200. This individual stated he was from amazon customer service, and his name was James. This individual asked for the debit card information used to purchase the items, driver's license number, and social security information to verify that the correct individual authorized the statement. Here is the tricky part. He then states that to get this account unlocked, you will have to know someone else with an amazon account. So a text message was sent to another family member stating that amazon customer service would be reaching out to verify the identity. The family member was also scammed out of $1700 for an unauthorized payment from Cash App. Several unauthorized charges were attempted on my mother in laws debit card, which was for $1000, and $700 was still pending.
