Phishing
A female voice calls me by my first name and says, hello, this is Hannah Walker with US Funeral Expenses. Do you remember calling me? I respond with no and the menu starts to roll, but if I interrupt the scripted call the voice does respond until I start asking for her contact information or tell her I'm not of legal age, so I don't qualify and to remove my phone number from her list, then she disconnects. I added my cell number to the National Do Not Call Registry and the calls abated for a couple days then they started right back again. This time the phone number was apparently spoofed because when I called the number back (804) 824-1484 a man by the name of George answered and said he had not called me. After a couple hrs, she calls back again but from a different number. About 12 different numbers have been used over a period of 3 weeks. When I try to call them back, usually I get Verizon saying the number cannot be called as dialed.
