I was looking for a Shih tzu puppy. I went on Facebook and found a few breeders that had Shih tzu puppies for sale. I saw a lot of feedback about how great they were through the process. We settled on a price of $500 which includes delivery. I knew a few people who used agencies to drive the dog to the place they wanted the dog to go to. So payment option was through Facebook pay. I sent the payment to her “husband” Li Jay Tee. They accepted it and said I would receive a tracking number and an email when all the paperwork was done. Literally the day the dog was suppose to be delivered to me they were doing paperwork. I never received an email. I received a text from the “agency” they used and that number is (786) 671-5802. Saying the crate the previous owner provided is not suitable for the puppy. I had 3 options to choose from for the puppy to be delivered to me. Well the cheapest option was $800. I told them that I don’t have that money. I messaged the business again about it and they asked if I could pay for it. I said no because that wasn’t our agreement. Then they try to guilt me into paying it saying they are worried about the puppy. If the puppy doesn’t get shipped out I will be listed as an abandonment. Then they wanted me to ask family or friends to send me money for this crate. Which I denied because I said this was their mistake and they needed to fix it. That is when they said they don’t have the money and the $800 crate is refundable. Then they said that they couldn’t get the puppy unless I give them $100 to put the puppy back in their ownership. I told them I wanted my money back, that's when the husband blocked me on Facebook. Now I’m going through my bank to stop this and hopefully get my money back.

Fake Landlord/ Rental Scam
I was contacted by Patrica Thomas on Roomster. Since I was starting school in LA, I was desperate to find a rental within my budget. She sent me an email with pictures of the place. I was asked to secure the lease by sending a month’s rent and the security deposit. I sent 1400 dollars to two separate bank accounts via the Zelle app. Since I authorised the funds there’s no way of recovering my money. I received a receipt and also a lease agreement. I am doubtful if those documents are genuine. Following this, we kept in touch via texts where she continued to ask to make advance payments for rent and promised that she would give a discounted rent amount. However, I didn’t. I was supposed to move in on August 1st., and I didn’t receive the keys or any communication and was also asked to send money for the keys to be sent via mail and sent her money through cryptocurrency since she claimed to be in Puerto Rico. I have filed a complaint with my banks but I have no place to move into and no money. I am absolutely flabbergasted and really need to secure funds to find a place to live in.
