Family/Friend Emergency
My 83 year old mother received a phone call from a woman reporting to be her 77 year old sister. The woman said she had been arrested after a traffic accident and needed to be bailed out. A man reporting to be a lawyer named Mike Tate said my mother needed to bring him $8000 in cash not check. He wanted her to call when she had the money and that they would meet. My mother asked if she could come to the police station and was told no. My mother then called her sister and discovered it was a scam. Several hours later my mother received another call from Mike and hung up.
