Employment Scam - Thirty Madison Impostor
Contacted me via email and text stating they found my resume on Indeed. Went through an "interview," "skills assessment," and was offered a remote job. I was told I would be paid $30 per hour, $60 per hour overtime. I was emailed an employment letter that I was asked to sign and email back immediately. I asked them for their federal EIN number to ensure they were a legit employer, the number was valid with the IRS. I was told I would start training in El Paso, TX at $20 per hour for two weeks. I began to find it fishy when they said they would be sending me a voucher to purchase my computer and other work from home supplies. The "check" arrived via FedEx the next day (Saturday), they called me on the phone asking if I had received it and wanted me to deposit it immediately. I finally found a branch that was open and I asked the bank to verify the issuing bank and routing number. As I suspected it was a fake. When I called the recruiter back and told him what happened I was immediately hung up on and the email address and phone that I had been communicating with him were suddenly disconnected and email undeliverable.

Cintas employment *SPOOF/IMPOSTER*
I received a text message first, about a data entry job at home for $30/hr. Then I was told to download telegram for an interview. The interviewer asked a bunch of questions, and asked for my name, address, phone number, and email. They then stated the hourly wage was $38/hr, and asked if I wanted to be paid weekly or no weekly, and who I banked with to see if it was compatible. They told me to report back the next day promptly at 8 am. I checked back the next day, and they said they were still processing my application and to wait for a couple hours. Everything started to seem fishy, so I checked online and found that many people have been scammed by them. I blocked them before they could get back to me.

Fake Check/Money Order
I was initially contacted by Mrs. Robin Johnson by text claiming to be from REHAU Group and introduced to Kendrick Rich on Zoom. I went through an interview with Mr. Rich on Zoom and then was informed that I was hired. I was told that the company is now going into a work from home job to create employment opportunity for everyone including the less privileged, disabled and mainly to decrease the rate of unemployment in the economy. They also sent me a check through this program in the amount of $4990.00 that I was to deposit into my account and use to buy my equipment through their vendors. I saw a red flag. The company on the check was C&W Construction Specialties, Inc 2419 Palma Drive Ventura, CA 93003 and the bank was City National Bank 1220 South Victoria Ave. Ventura CA 83003. When I Googled the bank address I found that it was an empty building for sale. I contacted my bank and determined the check was fraudulent.
