Visufarma Imposter - Employment Scam
I was appraised via text by a Mr. Palmer who wanted to discuss a job interview I don’t remember applying for. Because I had applied to many work from home positions it was hard to keep track of where I applied. He gave me a few openings that was available and each time I asked for him to give me more info about the company he kept ushering me to download zoom for a chat interview. They sent me a email with the info for the company and the benefits I would receive if I did get the job. Once I read that & let them know I understood they proceeded to ask a bunch of very general questions about my experience. They then said they needed time to send my answers over to corporate to see if I got the job. About 10-25 mins later or so I receive a message stating that I got the job and asking how I felt about this news. Once I thanked them for this opportunity they asked for my name, address and telephone number to “complete my profile” I’m a little confused because all this is listed on my resume they claim they found that matched the criteria for the candidate they were in search for. Then they asked how I preferred to be paid for the hours worked I said direct deposit. They asked me which bank I bank with but did not ask for account details. I said the first bank then they asked me for identification purposes did I bank with another bank I said yes and gave them another one. I was supposed to start my “training” Monday at 8am but I’m sure I won’t get any response after that. Thankfully these people didn’t get any money from me but I’m sure my personal info is somewhere on the dark net being circulated. I also received a offer letter in my email from a “ [email protected]” email which I thought was odd since this company was supposed to be based in the Netherlands. I signed it & sent it back but I wonder now if they were just trying to get my signature to use for scamming somehow. I will attach screenshots.
