IRS Imposter
This company claimed to be contracted by the IRS federal goverment . The company contacted us on our cell phone claiming the federal government tried to deliver us tax papers that had to be signed and went back to the goverment as undeliverable, and this company takes over from there. They had our name and place of residents and started asking personal questions at which point we hung up on them. When I asked who I was speaking with the gentleman on the other end said he was detective so and so and started to give me his badge number. I told him I give out no personal info nor tax information over the phone and not to call back. He hung up immediatly after I said this to him. I called my tax accounted and he said this is a scam going around the area. Another person I spoke with said they read something in the newspaper that this type of thing is going on. After receiving this call I checked my accounts and all looked to be in order. I didn't give the scammer time to ask for money
