Puppy Scam
I was promised a male yorkie and never received the puppy. Once breeder informed me of a third payment for a crate I declined and requested to cancel the transaction. Once I request the refund I started getting all kinds of excuses and reason why I need to wait for my refund. The next morning I followed up as they mentioned I had to wait for the transportation company to return the puppy their phones where out of service and disconnected.

Mystery Shopper - Fake Check
I was sent a fake check for $1, 840.34. Was instructed to deposit the check. And purchase 3 $500 Best Buy gift cards. And then make purchases when told so. And proceed to step 2. When to told so someone will pick up the products.

Received an automated phone call that there had been suspicious activity on my credit card, first 3 numbers given. Was told activity on eBay and iTunes, one being more than $1000. Automated message continued that this needed to be cleared up within 30 minutes, or could not be reversed. Also that they might need to take control of the computer to fix it. That my credit card could be cancelled now over the phone and a new number given. I was to wait for the attendant to come on the phone. A man with a heavy accent, like Carribean (not Jamaican), came on. I was very suspicious. Asked him how I could be sure this wasn't a scam. He became very angry, said he didn't need to prove anything to me, and hung up. He didn't get far enough to ask for my credit card number.
