Fake TTEC Data Entry Position
I think I have run into a online scam for a company called TTEC. I responded to a online remote data entry position on FB. Barbara Marshall from WVA requested dm if interested in remote data entry work. This is most of the online correspondence:] Please review and advise: WELCOME TO TTEC This is strictly data entry position and the working hours are flexible It is a work from home and you can set up your own convenient hours I will be transferring you to the hiring manager for job duties and interview process Do you have a signal app? You sent They are asking a lot of questions about Bank cards and needing a Visa. You sent I don't understand what any of that has to do with remote employment Barbara I also go through the process with them I was ask for a Walmart Visa card for portal activation and I was reimbursed along with a sign up bonus of $750 Barbara Barbara Marshall This is ?? legitimate Barbara replied to you Barbara Marshall This is strictly data entry position The signal app was utilized through Anderson Jean, wanted me to go immediately to a CVS, Walgreen, Walmart or Target store to set up an online portal and gain access to the company information. Anderson asked for a copy of my id, for verification, which I stupidly provided...... Copies of the signal conversation can be provided as well. When I tried to contact TTEC directly, I had no luck. Thank you for your assistance. Via Signal app I interviewed with Anderson Jean who claimed to be the hiring manager.She offered a job and signing bonus, requesting personal info, state id with pic for verification (I provided a copy of my Ohio DL), and then wanted to me to go a CVS, Walgreens, Target or Walmart to register for an activation card for an online portal activation. That did not seem right, and a reimbursement was promised. When I asked what I would ask for at CVS she informed me that I would need a Visa card for portal activation. She then wanted me to let her know as soon as I pulled into CVS...... When I requested information be emailed to me so I could review it she told me I could pass on the job offer. After I messaged her and asked her to delete my personal information because I was not comfortable with the transaction she message me to "Please get out of here (angry face emoji), then Messaged "You should get the ****. I advised her I am reporting her to the BBB, and she sent one more response.........'you are a mad woman.' Glad I caught this early. I went back to FB and Barbara Marshall's fb page was removed.
