'Can You Hear Me?' scam
Call from my home state area code. I answered it and they asked if I could hear them as they wanted to discuss my expiring warranty. I was going to hang up but thought it may be about my car I sold that would have been up for warranty so I thought I would try and get off their call list and said "yes". They if I was interested in renewing my warranty and I said "no" and it disconnected. Then I realized it was a scam call but they have me recorded saying "yes" now.

Can you hear me?
Caller called at 9:30 MST and said, "This is the warranty department. Can you hear me?" To which my wife answered "Yes". I had just picked up the other phone and heard this. I had heard of the scam, but couldn't stop her from saying "yes". I got her to hang up, but the damage had been done.

Can you hear me?
I received a phone call from a number that appeared to be local. My husband had gotten a call from the same number about an hour earlier. He didn't answer, but I did because I thought that it might be someone that we knew since it was a local number and had tried calling both of us. I can't remember exactly what her first words were, but I do believe that I answered with the word "yes." Then it seemed to go to a recording of the same voice. She was explaining how we had won a cruise since we had stayed at their resort in the past (which we have not). So I hung up. But now I am worried that it was a scam to get me to say "yes."
