About two weeks ago, I began receiving unsolicited telephone calls to my cell phone, claiming that they were responding to a job application (I never posted one). Initially I asked the young lady to remove my name from the list, and she politely said she would. She never called back, but a young man named 'Connor' did. At least every day, sometimes every other, he would call with the same 'job offer'. When I ask him to stop calling and to remove my number, he hangs up. Today I received a message actually left on my phone, a voice recording (female) stating that they were responding to my inquiry about a job with AmazonProfits.co (not ".com"). I cannot access that site from work because bogus sites are detected and blocked, which confirmed my suspicions. I have contacted the DoNotCall.gov registry and made a complaint there as well. I also contacted Amazon.com and asked them if this was some subcontractor working for them (which I suspected it wasn't) and they too confirmed my suspicions, having nothing to do with such an operation. I do know that the number is out of Boca Raton, FL. I called the number; it rang six times then went to a voice message (male voice) saying, "We're sorry we missed you," and hangs up.
