I received a phone call from someone claiming to be in my area. They asked if I could hear them alright. I did not reply because I could tell it was an automated system and I am familiar with this scam. Calling back the number I got prompted with two options. Press 1 to talk to a customer service representative. When 1 is pressed it says none are available and to email [email protected] for any inquiries. When 2 is pressed to be added to the "Do not call" list, it asks to enter my number so I can be added to the list. I knew it was a scam also because I don't live in the area of the phone call anymore. The scammers also call from different numbers, all with the same area code.
