The scammer contacted our company via text message asking if we did roofing work. I asked how he came across our company information and they stated "on BBB." He then proceeded to send me the address where he wanted to have a brand new roof installed and asked if we could evaluate the roof for costs. He also sent us the email where he wanted the estimate to be sent. Upon arrival, we ran into another roof that had been called to also evaluate the roof, which is when we realized that the lead was fraudulent.
