Was referred to Miguel Ortiz by a friend to fix my roof due to some weather damage. Miguel came over to give me a free estimate. When I explained I was going through my house insurance and needed roc# he changed subject. I brought it to his attention 3 times till he finally gave it to me. Miguel had explained his business entity was Miguel’s Roofing but when I checked the roc# another roofing company came up by the name of American 5 Stars and the owner was a different person. I asked Miguel if he had a registered business license he said yes yet again but his business was nowhere to be found in the AZ commission website. This young man appears to be very charming but is very manipulative. When I confronted him about the information I had found he said because of Covid the information on the system could be delayed but later on said he’d been doing business for over 10 years. This man is a fraud and does not have a roofing or business license.
