This person initially reached out to me via Instagram. He professed his love after maybe 2 weeks of chatting in direct messages. He then asked me to text him using either Hangouts by google or WhatsApp. He could never speak on the phone due to acute laryngitis and bad phone service. His first request for money was due to his mother falling and getting injured, asking for $1k. Then after a “no” answer, he asked for my credit card info so his uncle could make a payment and then in turn, I could withdraw cash. He continued to ask for amazon gift cards, even after I was uncooperative. He advised that he had to travel to Egypt and Africa for “work” and needed money for food. He then proclaimed that him and his colleagues found gold bars and I was soon notified by email that I would need to pay approximately $900 for delivery. I quickly advised that I would not pay. After I blocked him, he continued to email and his contact info appeared on my Snapchat app under a different name, Pablo Eleniyan. When he reached out AGAIN via email, I advised him of this and asked him to delete my contact info. I also advised him that I knew he was misleading and using poems from the internet as his own. He did not respond, to my relief. I would just like other women to be aware and to make sure to be careful with strangers on the internet.
