"Can you hear me now?" Scam
I had heard of the "just say yes" scam. This was a call from my home town, a number I did not recognize, but I answered it anyway. I recently lost my husband and had been getting calls from people whose numbers I didn't know. Well, there was some preliminary noise on the other line so I said "yes?" !! I don't know why I did that, but then the lady came on to say, sorry, adjusting my headset. I knew then was scam and hung up. Not remembering what they do with your "yes", but afraid they got me!!
