PCH Imposter - Prize Winner Scam
March 8 phone call from person claiming to be calling from Publisher's Clearing House to inform me that I had won a sweepstakes of $2.5 million. They asked for me by name and when told I was not available, they left a message. Claimed their name was Michael Lewinski, Badge number 2613US and their cell phone number was 508-297-7689. The caller said I must call him ASAP between 11 am and noon that day. Said the prize would be delivered by 3 pm that day. They had my correct address. I checked the BBB website about scams and found that PCH never contacts winners by phone and other info that convinced me that this call was a scam, as I suspected. I have never entered the PCH sweepstakes. I did not return the call and the prize patrol never showed up.
