I was looking to buy a boston terrier puppy. I found that website which was selling very cute ones for quite cheap. I contacted the breeder and asked for a specific puppy. He sent me via email some pictures of the dog and questions I had to answer regarding my life and if I was fit to adopt the dog. After I answered the questions he sent another email asking how I would pay, my address, my full name, phone number, and when I was able to give a deposit. I answered the questions and said that I wouldn't pay anything before I saw the dog in a video call (I'm not stupid), from that point he gave me a call, didn't introduce himself and asked why I wanted a video call. He said that either I paid him right away, or I couldn't get the dog. I answered saying that I would just drive to him and pay him cash once I get the dog. He hung up on me and I have tried to contact him again but without success. That boston terrier website is a scam!

While searching for puppy adoption options with my boyfriend, we came across the website, https://adorablecorgihome.com that sells corgi puppies based in Arkansas. I inquired via their website and they got back to me very quickly detailing the puppy information, including multiple photos and videos of the puppy, as well as prices, shipping info, asking me to fill out a questionnaire, etc. Through communication via email, they proceeded to tell me the puppy I was interested in was gaining interest from other people and to secure the puppy, I would need to first issue them the payment outlined in the previous email, of $750 via Zelle. I did. Once that payment had been sent over, I was provided with flight details and tracking info regarding when the puppy would arrive at the Denver airport, which was traveling with a "Pet Nanny", which was included in the $750 fee. Following this, I then received two subsequent emails informing me that I had to pay additional "refundable fees" for the dog to be transported with a proper crate, covid dog scans, and first time flyer fee, totaling $3380.00. I was told I needed to pay these additional costs via Zelle ASAP or the puppy would not be shipped. At this time I felt hesitant on all the additional fees being charged, so I called into the US Pet Shipping company that was allegedly transporting the puppy. I had numerous phone conversations with a man named "John Cooper" (609-669-2771), who assured me that the puppy was indeed in the hands of US Pet Shipping and that all additional fees were simply deposits that would all be reimbursed upon arrival in Denver. At this same time, I reached out to the original puppy seller, to understand why I had not been informed of any of these additional costs in our original conversations. The original seller, "Jada Jackson", assured me that these were standard deposits, and was very apologetic about not having been transparent early on. While frustrated by the high cost of the deposits, I was pressured to send all of these payments quickly to assure the puppy would be on board the scheduled flight. In all I sent over the original $750 payment for the dog via Zella to "Jada's" wife, "Harriet", followed by (3) seperate payments on Zelle to "Shannon Wallace - Director of US Pet Shipping" totaling $2630, and a final payment of $1630 via Venmo to "Deborah Laurent - US Pet Shipping" for a grand total of $5010.00. Once all payments were sent, I received confirmation from "John Cooper" that the puppy would be arriving at the Denver airport at 10:40 PM on May 5th, and that the Pet Nanny would be contacting me upon arrival for logistics of picking up the puppy. Once this quick interaction with both "John Cooper" and "Jada Jackson" transpired and all the money noted above had been sent, I updated my boyfriend of the process that had occured. He was quickly skeptical and began doing research on his end and quickly told me to try to cancel all of those payments ASAP, expecting I was 100% being scammed. Within the hour of sending the payments to Shannon Wallace and Debra Laurent, I called my bank, Wells Fargo, and filed claims against all payments I had just sent in a desperate attempt to have them cancelled. The following day I had an in person meeting at my local Wells Fargo branch, as well as filing a police report with the Denver Police Department - District 6, report #22-226525. So far I have had no success in reclaiming any of the funds that were sent to the fraudulent identities claiming to be the puppy seller and shipping services. Throughout the process I had exchanged numerous emails and text messages with the seller, signed a Sales Purchase Agreement, received shipping confirmation labels, as well as numerous photos and videos of the alleged puppy I was purchasing. I have attached all of these documents for your review. It has become clear now that all persons involved, documents and photos were fraudulent and part of a major scam which I was a victim of. Following this realization, my boyfriend has also inquired about adopting the same puppy (Cash) listed on adorablecorgihome.com. Upon his inquiry, I have determined that the operators of the website issue the identical email responses, photos, etc. to everyone who reaches out through the website. Looking back now, there are numerous red flags throughout this process which should have triggered my skepticism, however, caught up in the moment and fast past process of the exchange, with my heart set on the puppy I had so convincingly been told was real, I fell victim to this scam in a very real and financially damaging way.
