I've been in a desperate financial situation for a few weeks now so I had been looking for loans and being denied left and right. Then a few days ago, I got a call from someone claiming to be an employee of a loan provider and my application for $6,000 had been accepted and they just needed a few more details to complete the loan. They got my bank account number and routing number, my social security number, and my debit card number. I wasn't questioning anything because these are all things legitimate loan providers ask. Another reason they seemed legit is because they gave me all of their information, including the scammer's name (probably fake), the name of the business, where the business was located, zip code, the id number of the "employee" and an id code for me to enter into a website to check the status of my loan. I wrote it all down and would share all of that information here but I threw it away without thinking. The red flag should have been when they also asked for my debit card pin. No credit lender will ask for that. But like I said, I was in a desperate situation and didn't even think to question it. I gave all of that information and then they said the minimum credit score had to be at a certain number. Well, mine was only a few points off so they said they were going to help me boost my score so that they would be able to add the funds to my account. The way they would do that is they would send money to my account and then all I would have to do is send it back and that would boost my score. The next red flag should have been when they told me I would have to return the money through cash app or an AmEx gift card. But I thought "Well, at least it's not my money I'm losing, it's money they're sending to me". So they put the money in my account and I get the gift cards and send them the money. The next day, they tell me that payment didn't boost my credit score enough and they'll have to do it again! Foolishly, I say okay and they begin the process of adding the funds to my account. Next thing you know, I'm getting a call from my bank asking if I recently disputed any transactions on my account. I say no, I haven't disputed anything. They tell me the transactions that are being disputed and I'm like "Um, that's my rent payment". So the bank associate says I fell for a scam and the "funds" they were sending me to "send back" to them came from them calling my bank and posing as me to dispute transactions on my account in order for that money to be put back into my account. So the bank associate had to walk me through the process of getting a new account number, changing my username and password, setting up an additional voice password, and getting a new card. On top of that, since they canceled the disputes, I had to return that money to the bank. But since I had already given those funds to the scammers, my account is now $1000 overdrawn. Ain't it great to be me right now.

These people call me at least 4 times a day saying that they are going to give me a refund for tech services. They first contacted me a year ago and scammed me out of 699.99. I did get the money back . Now a year later they are calling me and keep insisting i sign on to my computer so they can give me a refund. They say they have already taken the money out of my account. They are very insistent that they have taken my money and want me to sign on to the internet. They just want to get onto my account like they did last year. I keep telling them if you took the money out you can put it back. They just want to get into my account.i am tired of these people calling me and fear they will somehow get into my account. How do I get them to leaver me alone.
