Received phone call. Caller claimed to be verifying information regarding a Lowe's contest . The contest was entered in Lowe's by filling out a paper entry form and placing it in a container. The caller called to verify the information supplied on the entry form. The caller also inquired as to whether I was a home owner and was the home owned singly or jointly. The caller also inquired as to whether I was retired and how long I was retired. I felt like the information re home ownership and length of retirement were not appropriate. Attempts to call the number back or reach the web site listed for that number were unsuccessful. Caller questions required a yes answer to verify ie my name, address and cell phone number and "did I enter this contest?). As though the caller had the entry form from which she was reading.

I received a phone call from a (405) number in Edmond that I did not recognize. When I answered, the caller said Hello...can you hear me? I did not reply, but simply hung up. I should not have answered and will not do so next time...but my girls live in the OKC area so I thought it might be one of them calling from a friend's phone. I wanted to report this because I have read about scammers trying to get responders to say "Yes" to get information, etc.
