Advance Fee Loan Scam
Receiveda loan approval for $2000. Many many phone calls, and they then tell me I need to send them $150 via Western Union up front as proof of payment. They then said to wait 30-45 min and then I will receive my loan. A couple of hours go by, I continually call for a follow up, and they keep telling me 15-20 min. After I receive a notification via Western Union that the funds have been picked up, they then tell me I need to pay $850 for a loan insurance. I told them if i had that kind of money, I wouldn’t need a loan. I got skeptical. They offer me to pay $425 for the loan insurance. I told then I would transfer the $425 via Western Union, but totally lied. Went and checked the BBB. Total scam. They told me they could not give me my $166 back because it was “not in the system.” I call Bull. I am going to fight to get my money back.

Fake Check
I received an email from someone (job placement/careers occupation) at the university I attend. The email was in regards to employment as a mystery shopper. I signed up. A check and survey/task was mailed to me. I cashed the check to complete the task and after completing the task the check was reported as fraudulent.
