Advance Fee Loan
Applied for a loan and was told I had to send money to secure it. Sent money to the email address and one it was auto deposited i was given the complete run around told to call back in 10mins an hour and eventually they stopped answering my calls.

Phishing
Received a call around 8:30 PM on October 26/2017. Caller identified himself as CIBC security, John Rockwell. He knew my name and asked when I had most recently I used my bank card. I said I want sure and he proceeded to tell me it was at a drug supply. I finally remember that on Monday I had used my card at London drugs He knew the card number and said due to a computer glitch in the store I had been overcharged 37.97 and this was a rarity and they were going to reverse the charges. He asked for expiry dates and code on back of the card and asked me for the card number. I asked how I could be certain he was from the bank and he said he had my name and card number. I then asked why he wanted me to repeat the number and he said for security. I asked why he was calling so late and he said they had authority to call up to 9:00pm. He said I would be receiving a call with a security code and to call him back as soon as I received the call but first he needed more information. I told him I was uncomfortable with this call and asked for his phone number so I could call back. He said he would give me his private number so I would not have to go through the switchboard. That number is 343-999-5273. I hung up and immediately called the bank. They confirmed this was a scam and immediately cancelled my card. I have also contacted London drugs head office to report this as their computers may have been compromised.
