Worthless Problem-solving Service
The scammer persistently contacted me to invite my book to be a part of the Miami Book Fair in November 2023. In exchange, they wanted $1,699 US to have my book in an exhibition tent as a 'high potential, high impact book". When I contacted the organizers of the Miami Book Fair, I learned that Mainspring Books is not permitted to be involved in this fair due to "questionable ethics and poor client feedback". When I confronted the scammer with this fraud, she hung up.

I have not received the services as described from this company to date, it has been over six months that I’ve been dealing with them trying to get some resolution. I have spent over $7000 to have a website built to the specifications they guaranteed me and a web portal recommended by a member of their staff which also came with promises and guarantees that has not been done. Nothing they promised or guaranteed lived up to what they said they’d be able to do. They have provided what seems to be a fake or dummy website which is nit functional. After several months and promise after promise I want all of my money refunded back to me. I expected to hear from them but no one answers the phone when I call now. At this point I am willing to pursue legal actions. I attempted to go on their website and found that it now says for sale. ******* *********

I ordered a bathing suit from this website. They have a website, instagram, facebook and twitter with a good following especially on instagram. I ordered and put my debit card info in and I got a confirmation of payment and the email said they would notify me when they ship my item out. The end of that email had my order summary but where it said shipping method it now said Free 2 day shipping which I was happy but skeptical about. I replied back to the email asking about it just so I can clarify. They never responded. I waited until a week later (business days) and asked them about my order, to no response. I then started to dig deep and try to find others that may be having the same problem and for the most part I couldn't. After days and weeks of reaching out on all their handles, I found a comment from someone that also said they didn't receive their item and had to threaten them to get their money back ( they withdrew from their account twice). After that I knew it was a scam and started going on a frenzy alerting and leaving comments everywhere. I THEN received an instagram direct message from them. She explained it was not a fake site and said they would give me my money back and would also like to ship the item for the inconvenience. I go on asking more questions about why it would take so long for one item and telling them about all the errors on their website, along with all the different email addresses they provide on the website and no one ever responds. She assured me this was an oversight. Then I asked well when would you be shipping the item out then and from that point there was no response again and I did not get my money back. I don't understand how anyone can ask for card information and not be totally legit or have to go through the internet/consumer benchmarks of a company if that exists. I ordered one bathing suit for ***** but that is ***** I am probably not getting back.

These people will send you one item from your cart and then will "pretend" to send the rest a few weeks later. They send you a fake usps tracking number and then a week later they say that item could not be delivered and to contact usps for reshipment. When you try to file a dispute with usps, the tracking number is bogus and there's no way to go about it. They don't answer any of your messages!! I've gone through Facebook, instagram, and twitter. They will steal your money!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM

Phone Scam - "can you hear me?"
Called and ask for _____. I stated he was not in. They asked what about the business manager. Are you the business manager? I replied yes and they disconnected. I attempted calling back and got a message saying the call could not be completed as dialed, please hang up and try the call later.
