Craigslist buyer - overpayment
The scammer texted me about a shop vac I have for sale on Craigslist and asked me to email his wife at [email protected]. I emailed her informing her of the shop vac. She emailed me the following email, which I identified as a scam: Hi, Thanks for the prompt response to my text.I will be buying this from you,I want you to withdraw the ads from the site and considered it sold to us.My husband will mail out the payment as soon as possible but he will be paying with a Certified Check from his Bank and it will deliver to you via Federal Express,so I'll need you to provide me with the following information in order to facilitate the mailing of the check... And we are offering additional $35 with the original price in order to hold the item till the payment comes in mail. Name to be on the payment............ Address to mail the check to......... City............. State ........... Zip code ......... Final Asking price ............ Cell phone # to text you on......... He will make arrangement for the pick up as soon as your bank clears the check,due to our work frame and kids he will not be able to come with the cash and pick it up,so my husband will mail the check and arrange for a local mover agent that will pick up the item after the check clear.I will appreciate it if you can send more of the pictures of the item to me.The payment will be deliver to you this week.
