I received an email with the subject "Application Pre-Approved." The text and tone of the message seemed normal enough. It insisted I reply to the hiring manager (with hiring manager as a link). I reply to the link the same day. I got a response a week later. Old text was used. I felt like it was copy/pasted. The words were something you might expect from hr, but it seemed a little too nice. Attached were 4 documents, 2 of them you would only see if you went through an interview. Attached here is the last email sent. I gave them no indication that I said yes to the job, only that I was interested.
