Had a relative passway in Jan 2022; and this person calls me, unsolicited and then claims that I was the decendant of a long lost relative that i had no idea about; and they had revealed their extensive research that I was due to inherit my families portion of this person and they wanted me to sign up and confirm I had received the Fedex material they sent both myself and my sister; claiming estate recovery investigator services were in my interest to assist in making a claim... When in fact this is black and white public record; and I was responsibe party that arranged for final disposition of said relative... This guy tells me, who my Grandfather, Father and relatives were wanting me to engage their services... When I called them out and said no thanks, this guy called me an "Old White Guy" kept insulting me trying to convience me I needed them...

Recorded called asking about expiring warranty, then asking if I could hear then, I fell for it and answered yes, then recording asked if I wanted more information and I replied no. Then called hung up.

Phone Scam - "can you hear me?"
Received a phone call from a Detroit area code (where I have family). Upon saying hello a woman's voice introduced herself and then quickly asked "Can you hear me?" It was something about a warranty expiring. The more she talked, I could begin to tell it was a very-real-sounding automated recording and I hung up. A few hours later, I came across stories in social media of this exact thing being used to get my "Yes" recorded verbally in order to charge me for a good or service.
