Employment
This person/people tried to contact me numerous times using numerous ID's, phone numbers, emails etc. They put up fake jobs on Indeed.com for a position. This one was data entry. (I am also a personal assistant). They contact saying they dont have the data entry job open but need a personal assistant. Little by little they try to extract information in the guise of a job interview/an employer getting to know someone. I immediately saw this was a scam and played the game to get the info. First, they tried to be the owner of the company "A Scarlet Knife" out of NY. They used the phone number of 229-283-0472. First, they pretended to be the owner, Paul, then shifted over to being the secretary Alexandra. The email that was used was [email protected]. Luckily, I know to contact through the website for verification. The emails on the site, nor the phone number matched up either. Second time they tried to contact me, they were Steven Thomas from Nexa Dealer. The first email address it was sent from is [email protected] which turned into the email of [email protected]. This conversation did not go very far. They stopped responding since I called them out. No more than 30 minutes later, I get a text message from someone named Ms Harriet Anderson off of SIgnal. (I know an employer would never contact anyone this way). Not far into the discussion, their name changed to Ms Marie Anderson. The company they are using this time is out of India called brawnlabs.com. They were CCPing the information off of the website into the text, with the same kind of "interview questions" yet again. I played along with it to get as much information as possible. Starting with common sounding questions with personal ones worked in such as name, what bank I operate with and others. These were the same questions that "Paul" sent to me. I am saving all of the communication with this person incase it will do any good to bring them down. I will forward any email, text, and info that I have that could help you solve this. It seems like the phone numbers they are using are not registered in the USA, and the closest I could find was in Mexico. So, Im not sure 100% what country they are from. I have also contacted each business letting them know that they are part of a running scam, as well as contacting Indeed.com (where they admit they got the application from) letting them know this is going on as well. I let Linkedin.com know as well incase anyone else reports anything like this. The common person would fall for this in a heartbeat, and this is not an amateur. At the end of playing along, I added in the text message saying that I sent them an email off of the email that is on the company's website for security verification reasons, and as soon as I hear a reply back, I will go forward. This is the point they shut down and run. They have no way of responding from the correct email off of the website. After the third time this happend, I completely called them out. They have now completely run and I can not get any form of a response. I will help in whatever way I can. Gina "Kenny" Farina
