Fake Check Employment Scam
Received information for a remote job with Gryphon Bio via email “company [email protected] and said they received my email through Careers in Government Job Board. I should contact Dr Henry Lowman via Microsoft. teams for interview. Once this was completed I was to receive and deposit a check for equipment for this remote job. Check arrived via United States postal from Central Square Packing in Greensboro NC. Check was from Suncoast Credit Union with no address or phone number. A name on check was from Lori Kraycik in Naples Florida. An instruction sheet was included to send deposited check slip to John Lewis at [email protected]. I did not deposit check and began searching for scams, finding this information. A very intense scam it is and I have all documentation still.

I recieved a text claiming that they saw my resume on zip recruiter and they wanted to interview with me for a company called visana which is a healthcare facility for women health they keeps women first. the interview was on zoom text only from supposedly from a physical therapist name Dr Maggie Henjum. also there was multiple names jhon walsen, Mark, And more

BBB of MN/ND Update: Victim had a check with the following memo attached to this report (copied exactly as printed): "Hello and hope this Meets you well. The Enclosed check is for the purchasing of the needed supplies to get started with the JOB. Email your full names to Mr John Walsen. As soon as the check is received for Authorization of Depost before you attempt to deposit the check. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT TO REJECTION OF THE CHECK AT THE BANK.

SEND A COPY OF THE DEPOSIT SLIP TO THIS EMAIL ADDRESS.
