Individual identifying himself as Kyle from The Nature Conservatory asked to speak to xxxx (me). I said, "this is she". He asked another question but I told him he was breaking up and I could not understand him. He asked if "this is better." I replied "yes", at which point he hung up. I know the trick is to say "yes" so they can use your "yes" as a way to charge you for something. I hope he doesn't try.

I received a text message in response to a job application believed to have been submitted through Zip Recruiter. The sender asked me to answer a few questions in lieu of an in-person interview for an Executive/Personal Assistant job and to send my response via email. The email address was [email protected] The text referred me to a legitimate business, The Boldt Company and suggested I check out their website and referred me to the "senders" bio. I checked the website, looked up Linda Nila, drafted a letter and emailed my response. Two days later I received the following: After careful consideration, I’m pleased to announce that I’ve decided to offer you the position of Executive/Personal Assistant. This email will serve as your formal offer. I read your answers to the questions and believe you’ll be successful in this position. Your position title will be Executive Assistant, and in this capacity, you will report to me directly. This position commences as soon as possible. The salary for this position will be $1,500.00 per week, which equates to an annual total of $72000 per year. Payments will be distributed weekly by check or direct deposit. You are eligible for a raise every 7months depending on the over all performance. health and life insurance benefit will be provided after 90 days of employment. Any extra personal expenses (transport, gas, etc) incurred by you while on errands will be reimbursed by me at the end of each working week. Most of your activities will be carried out locally and remotely from anywhere for now, most official documents and packages will be delivered via courier services. You will be actively involved in my personal, business and financial life. In summary, your activities as my assistant among other things will include; * Running personal errands, supervisions and monitoring; * Organizing and maintaining diaries, memos and making appointments; * Taking on some of my responsibilities and working more closely with management and other staff related to me; * Handling and monitoring financial activities, receiving payment and paying bills. Currently I have some deliveries and bill payments pending. I will be sending you some money to make these payments, pick up some personal items, and deliver them to my P.O. Box. The job offer looked fishy so I went to the BBB, looked up The Boldt Company and called them using the number listed with the BBB rather than the website. They confirmed my suspicious of a scam.
