Facebook group Golden Retrievers Up For Adoption - Puppy Scam
An admin on the Facebook group Golden Retrievers Up For Adoption - Jesse David - offered a puppy up for adoption. The owners recently fell ill and the dog needed to be rehomed. After some back and forth I agreed to the adoption, and Jesse requested that the adoption fee be paid via Zelle. I did so, and he provided a tracking number from Air Pets Cargo Logistics. Once this was arranged, another fee appeared - a crating fee - from the freight company. I duly paid this fee, and then suddenly an insurance fee was required - $1500 'refundable' upon delivery. The payment method was Bitcoin, which set off alarm bells. We confirmed that it was indeed a scam. I requested to talk to the 'owner' of the pup, and was given a fake number (432-718-0122). When this number didn't work the owner ("Steve Holmes") offered to contact me through Facebook messenger, and he called me. He had a very strong African accent, despite ostensibly being from El Paso, Texas. When I called him out on it, I was suddenly blocked from the Facebook group.

Dachshund puppies
They have you place a deposit on the puppy then get your information to create a contract as to suck you in, then a few days later they tell you that they need final payment for health records, then if you won’t pay the rest of the money before you have your puppy they harass you constantly. They say things like, my husband was in a real bad accident and is in the hospital, sorry I’ve been dealing with my daughter’s birthday and so on. They are using a fake Facebook account to scam people. They use the name of a husband [email protected] for payments. They used these pic for mom and dad of puppy I would post a picture of the fake contract but has personal info on it. But this shows their phone number.
