PSC S.r.l. Engineering & Contracting LTD Employment and Text Message Smishing Scam
I am currently job hunting and have posted my resume on several career websites (e.g. Indeed, Career Builder, Monster, etc.). Remote jobs seem to be a trend right now along with the scams, but I have been trying to keep an open mind to it and research each company and person so I do not become a victum. I received a text message this morning at 6:27am CST stating, "Good Morning! I'm Jessica Taylor from PSC S.r.l. Engineering & Contracting LTD. I'm currently reaching out to you in regards to your resume approved for the Remote Data Entry Clerk/Administrative Assistant position with a pay rate of $35.00/hr. Reply once you get this so an interview can be scheduled. Thank you!" I entered the company and contact's name into my search engine and the BBB Scam Tracker was the first result. I was saddened to hear how far along the previous person went through with this scam, and am tremendously grateful she posted her experience. There are too many genuine people getting taken advantage of by scammers like this one. I wish something more could be done.

Employment Solicitation - Phishing Scam
Like the first post here, I received a text message (on 8/24/23) telling me to reply to the text so they can set up an interview for a remote Data Entry Clerk/Administrative Assistant position because they saw my resume. This text came from someone named Kristen Newson. I never responded to the text, thankfully, because several things seemed off to me. First, their first contact with me was through text message. Every employer who has reached out to me regarding an open position that has seen my resume on a job site has first reached out to me through either the career website or my email address first. I have never received a text from a prospective employer until after I had already emailed them a couple of times, had a phone interview and then agreed to receive text messages from an HR personnel. The second thing that stood out to me was the pay. The text stated that the pay for the job is $35/hour, twice what I've seen most companies offer. This seemed too good to be true, so I thought I'd try to research the company before replying to the text. I put the phone number into Google and came across the first post from the BBB. I got a text from the same number for a job I never applied to, but from a different name. This definitely sounds like a possible fraud to me. Because of the first post, I won't respond to the text. I recently accepted a position with a state agency that is sending me all of the equipment I will need for no charge. Jobseekers should be wary of anyone charging them for anything relating to start working for a company.

I received a text message from someone named Kristen Newson saying my resume was approved for the data entry/administrator assistant work from home job paying $35/hr. She ask that i reply to set up and interview. I am currently looking for a new job so my resume is out there but so is alot of scammers. Before I replied I googled that company and position which led me to this site. I read what someone else posted and im glad i didn't reply.

Received a phone call followed by an email from Aaron Mendes. Accent sounds Indian. He proposed a job offer for Amazon, and then sent an email with a job description (attached). He then asked if I had CSM training and said that if I enrolled in that course, I would be eligible for the job. Said the deadline was today and they were very interested. Provided some links to courses, one of which is learning-era.com. When I said that I could get the certification for free through my employer's programs (****** *****), he said that no employer ever used those certifications. The learning-era.com course is $599. He called back several times throughout the day asking me if I'd applied yet and pressing me to proceed.
