I was sent the following email and job offer after I applied via LinkedIn. The scammer then called me and asked for personal information such as name, DOB, location etc. He then stated he would be forwarding my information to HR and they would be sending additional documents for me to fill out to hire me. I have yet to receive the additional email. " I am pleased to extend the following offer of employment to you on behalf of House of Hope Investment Group. We want to offer you a completely remote work of a Personal Assistant. We believe that your knowledge, skills and experience are suitable for our House of Hope Investment Group. Employment Scam
I got an email of a job offer as a personal assistant from the company house of hope investment group what through me off at first was the pay was high and I had to do an internship process first, after they called for an interview which seemed like they weren’t interested, they asked for my location and skills, I still continued and then they made me sign a contract for the hiring process, after that I started the internship and I’m starting to think it’s just a scam because all they’ve done is give me tasks to do like put data on a spreadsheet, it seems legit but I get a feeling it’s a scam and might not get paid, I did give them my address which is what I’m worried about !

I sent a job application through linkdln for a personal assistant and a person named thomas skeffington saw my application and then a few days later I was contacted by mail by a certain Santiago Evans as a hiring manager to send me a job offer without having had a previous interview, he spoke to me by phone to do a short interview but everything seemed suspicious to me but even so I thought it was true they sent me the contract and some instructions, they told me that 1 month to do a training with a person called monica sanders through webex a communication platform .

Employment Scam
I got an email saying I had gotten a job offer from a guy named Jaxon Gomez with the House of Hope Investment Group. I had applied to their listing on LinkedIn, posted by a guy named Thomas Skeffington. I thought it was weird how they didn’t ask for an interview or assessment before giving an offer. However, it got weirder when I went to research them and only found their website, no other links or records like a wikipedia page or a review website. The LinkedIn job listing had been deleted as well as the profile for Thomas Skeffington. Also the “job offer” document they sent was made in word without any official logo or signature.

Applied for an online data entry job via the Grabjob job board. I was quickly shortlisted and sent my number to be later contacted. I was instructed to download telegram and skype to contact the interviewer and training manager. Once hired, I filled out the standard background check, W4, and employee agreement. I was then sent a 4000 check to deposit and buy supplies with. My checking account didn't allow for deposits over the given amount, so I didn't do it. I went to 2 different banks to see if the check was fraudulent. The first one said something along the lines of yes and the second one said probably could be. I did research on fake jobs, checks, etc, and decided not to continue. I told the hiring manager of my inability to deposit and that I couldn't continue and he simply said okay. No proper resigning, etc. It was very sketchy and rushed even if it was a real job. Although I had already shared more information with them than necessary, I'm glad I didn't go through with the entire process.

I have placed an online order for air purifier $303 8/22/2022 but have not heard anything in terms of shipping. I have tried to contact via emails but no response. I have tried to contact phone number listed on their website but kept saying wrong number and hung up on me. I googled the address listed on their website - it’s an old small 2 br house listed on Zillow. Beware of fake website. I am going to contact CC next to dispute the charge.
