I received an email from Geek Squad, said they were with Best Buy. A company that I have never had any dealings with that i can recall. They said I signed a contact with them in 2015 and it was time to renew for $299.99. I told them that I did not do that but I wanted to immediately cancel it. They said that I would have to go to a different email address as they needed an update of my debit account. I said that I would just cancel the card and hung up. I immediately had my card blocked. I emailed them back and told them that my card was blocked. No more then 5 minutes later I received an email from Amazon saying that my prime account was due to be renewed and that they needed an update of my payment method. I was not immediately not concerned about this. I filled out the initial page which I am sorry to say I gave them my social security number. Then I got concerned about the validity of this and went to my amazon account and realized that my Prime account is not due until later in the year.
