Government Grant SCAM
The called my phone claiming the government was giving me a one time free federal grant of 9000 dollers i had been picked cause i had never filed bank rupt. He said it was a grant from the government that i would not have to pay back. Told me he would give me my code that i would need to enter when i called 202 922 5512. He got my bank info .but when i called the number and gave my code thats when he told me i needed 200 doller processing fee.i told him i didnt have 200 dollars and he told me that i could call back when i got the 200 and we could proceed.i have no ideal if this is real or a scam .but am trying to find out

American Rescue Plan Government Grant Scam
I received a call from a person claiming on calling on behalf of the american rescue plan act 2021 from a number 318-726-9978 gave me a money id number GA774 for a grant amount of 8000.00 but I have to call that 202-922-4187 confirm my grant number and then go to walmart to pick check request thay had my personal data number with all my correct email and address I did not disclose non of my personal information with them.

Was contacted by phone by a person claiming to be informing me that I had been selected by the federal government to receive an $11,000 federal grant to help stimulate the economy. It was only being awarded to 1700 individuals and I was selected. She gave me a some kind of code and told me to call 202-922-5886. I was also told that I had the choice to receive it via direct deposit or western union or money gram. Called the other number and was told I needed to go to Walmart, Target, or a couple others where I could purchase some sort of registration for the government for $250.00 which I would have to do before I could get the grant. Then it would be refunded to me with the grant. She told me to go there and call her and she would have further instructions so as I didn't get the wrong card. She said several times not to try and do it by myself, this was a money matter. She claimed her name was Monica Lori. I texted her back later after reading several other spams that were very similar and told her I knew she was a scam and that I would be reporting her to the BBB and local authorities.

Government grant scam
I was called by a woman who stated this was a free grant of $9000. I was asked for visa or checking account. I stated no way. I was told to call her manager who will give me the information how to receive the grant. She gave me the number to call. It sis a Washington D C phone number. I hung up and reported it to BBB.

Spoke with an accent maybe middle eastern.Said I was being investigated for tax fraud. I laughed at him and he hung up I called back and he then asked me if he could lick my p...y. I hung up and reported it.

On August 15th at around 2:09pm I received a call from a number I didn't recognize, so, I didn't answer. I then received a robo-voicemail from a female voice claiming that in order to avoid appearing in front of a magistrate or judge for a federal offense against me, I needed to call them back immediately at 202-922-1203. The voice said it was their last attempt to contact me. I check the BBB Scam Tracker frequently, so I know that this is a scam. The voice didn't say what company or entity she/it represented and didn't use my name.
